It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our longtime partner, Adam Max. Adam began his career at The Jordan Company in April 1986 and served as a Partner at TJC for the vast majority of his 35 year career. During Adam’s long tenure at the firm, he led numerous transactions including Custom Chrome, RockShox, Harrington Group and Wound Care Holdings, in addition to holding board positions at numerous TJC portfolio companies. Adam served as a long-time member of the firm’s Investment Committee as well as various other management committees, and was actively involved in many charitable organizations, including serving as the Chairperson of the Board of the Brooklyn Academy of Music since 2017.
Adam was the fifth employee hired at TJC. His 35 years at the firm have helped shape our culture and his dedication to the team will continue to influence us all at The Jordan Company. Adam especially loved spending time with investors and business owners and they enjoyed spending time with him. He was very proud of the firm and a significant contributor to its success over the past 4 decades. Adam was a great partner, mentor and friend to all of us, and a generous supporter of multiple causes. His infectious smile, vibrant personality and quick wit will be deeply missed as will his love for life and passion for success.
